Lesson 9: Module B | Program Walk Through

Lesson 9 | Module B
How you adjust a program within a macrocycle is going to be largely dependent on the goal of that macrocycle, the training age of your client, and personal preference. As a client gets more advanced ideally we would like to see less changes within a block especially if the goal of that block is strength. With work capacity or hypertrophy related blocks we may be okay with more changes within a block. We also have to take personal preference into account as adherence rules all and often times small changes throughout a block can do a ton to help with adherence. Often times its enough to make clients feel they are having some variety within their block.

Variations between blocks should be kept to a few each block to be more sure the changes we are making are causing the adaptations we want. Personal preference and adherence also has to be balanced here. Overtime you can find ways to make a block seem completely different without making too many changes overall.
