Lesson 4: Module C

This module concludes the lesson with discussion points on guiding principles that can be used in both health and fitness.  This framework is designed to be modified to best meet the listeners business model.  Fundamentally, these principles are developed off the content covered in the first 2 modules.  Principles include adapting a person-centered approach to health and fitness over a more disease or purely biomechanical approach.  The next principle involves ensuring exercise selection is appropriate, explained consistently and thoroughly, and appropriate expectations are set forth to avoid surprises.  After this intervention is performed, the coach/clinician is encouraged to reflect back not just on performance related outcomes (biomechanical), but also outcomes such as client/patient adherence and perceived benefit.  From here, all this information is utilized and adjustments to the plan are made and the process is repeated.

The module concludes with a case study to show these principles in action.  Specifically using an individual that was working with us in a fitness space, then rehab, and then subsequent concurrent rehab and training.
